Connector Requirements

The minimum specification for the servers that host the Connectors are stated below. A server can host multiple connectors.


For version 1.6 and earlier the minimum requirements are:

  • a server running a minimum of Windows 2012
  • 1 GB RAM should be available per Connector
  • 500MB of disk space for each Connector installation
  • a separate port available for each Connector

For version 2 the minimum requirements are:

  • a server running a minimum of Windows 2019
    • administrative rights to install applications
  • 1 GB RAM should be available per Connector
  • 500MB of disk space for each Connector installation
  • a separate port available for each Connector
  • 64 bit Java JDK version 11, (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/java/openjdk/download)  
    • When installing, ensure that the “JAVA_HOME” optional install module is checked
  • For Measurement Connectors the jdbc driver is required for the installation process
  • For OSI PI Historian Connectors access to the PI Web API Service is required, although this is not required for installation
  • Each Connector requires a set of credential files to be completed.
