S3 Credentials File

The S3 Credentials file is a required credential file for each of the EnergySys Connector types.

The file contains secure credentials required to allow files generated by the connectors to be uploaded to the specific S3 bucket for the desired EnergySys instance.

S3 Credential File Policy

S3 Credentials act as users that have the ability to make data files available to your EnergySys instances, and as such there are rules in place to govern what should happen if this user is inactive for an extended period.

The Center for Internet Security (CIS) recommend that unused users should be deleted. As such, we have implemented a policy that if any S3 Credentials file has not been used within the last 90 days that it will be removed.

S3 Credential File Creation

The creation of S3 Credential files is a quick process and if a new S3 Credentials file is required for a Connector a request can be made to support@energysys.com. The new S3 Credentials file will then need to imported into the Connector through the Manage Credentials screen.
