Generating a SCIM Token for Tenant Administrator User

SCIM provisioning allows users to be securely created/updated within your EnergySys instances. To ensure that the SCIM provisioning is set up a Secret Token is required to be added to the Entra ID Enterprise Application. The generation of the Secret Token is performed within the EnergySys Admin App.

Access the Admin App Portal

Go to admin.energysys.com.

Follow the Microsoft login flow by entering your credentials to sign in.

Once logged in, the tenant admin app allows the tenant administrator to view, generate and delete token. There is a maximum of two tokens allowed to exist at any time.

Generate Secret Token

Once logged in, click the "Generate Token" button.

A pop-up will display the secret token. This token will only be shown once.

Copy the secret token and save it in a secure file on your system.

Finally, copy the Tenant URL address.

Managing Tokens

Tokens will expire after twelve months and will need to be replaced, this process currently will need to be manually managed by Tenant Administrators. 

Expired tokens will need to be manually removed through the delete options of individual tokens. As noted above only two tokens can be held at any onetime.
