Client Secret Expiry
Client Secrets are part of the connection that allows EnergySys to authenticate users against a customers Entra ID (formerly Azure) Active Directory.
As part of the security of the Client Secrets they are created in the Customers Entra ID Active Directory with a limited lifetime of typically one or two years.
When a customers Client Sectet expires they ability to authenticate from EnergySys to their Entra ID is lost, and no users are able to get access. An expired Client Secret will result on an error message being displayed of'Error: Could not acquire Access Token from authorization code'
Client Secret Renewal
To reactivate the authentication a new Cleint Secret Value needs to be generated within your Entra ID Active Directory and sent to EnergySys so that they may register the change.
