Forgotten Password


In EnergySys, if you forget your password, then you can recover access via a link on the sign-in page. This allows you to follow the steps to create a new password, as described below.


Note: These steps apply where your user security is managed within EnergySys. If this is not the case, you will need to get help from your company IT department.


Starting Your Password Reset

On the Sign In page, select 'Need Help Signing In?'



This will open an additional menu and you select 'Forgot Password?'


In the dialogue that opens, provide the email that you use to login to EnergySys and click 'Reset by Email'



Resetting Your Password


You will receive an email allowing you to reset your password, as shown below. The reset password link in the email will expire one hour after it is requested.



Click on the "Reset Password" link in the email to set a new password. You will be asked for the answer to your user security question. Once this has been answered correctly, you will be prompted to enter a new password.  Note that any special characters in your password should be in the OWASP list of special password characters.


Following creation of a new password, if your company requires Multifactor Authentication as part of its security, your MFA token code will be requested to compete the process.
